Now offering both our hand-building course, and a new wheel-throwing course for children 11yrs and over!
Our After-School Kid's term programs are a fun and social 8-week course suitable for participants of varying abilities run by our skilled and WWCC certified instructors. The programs run 4.00pm - 5.30pm Thursday afternoons with a 3.30pm drop-off option if needed (drinks and snacks are available for purchase).
Hand-building
Different skills will be explored through hand-building, including coiling, stamping, slab rolling and mark-making. There will also be opportunity for wheel throwing in week 8 for those wanting to give it a go. You will take home unique hand-made items fired and finished to keep or gift.

8 x 1.5 hour guided classes
All clay creations will be decorated towards the end of the course and fired for later collection
$45 per session for 8 weeks - Course total $360

7-17 years
Class size of up to 12 people. Minimum of 4 enrolments required for class to proceed
Wheel-throwing
The techniques needed to successfully wheel-throw will be explored. Children will learn to prepare their clay, centre their clay on the wheel and shape it into vessels. They will also learn how to trim their finished items when they are leather-hard to complete them. Pieces will be glazed in week 8, ready for final firing and later collection. You will take home unique hand-made items fired and finished to keep or gift.

If you wish to enter a course after commencement please contact us and if there is a spot we may be able to organise for you to join for the remainder.
Please note:
Whilst we take great care of your pieces during finishing, it is not uncommon for ceramics to crack and break during the firing process. Sessle B’s Studio does not take any liability for broken or damaged pieces.
All pieces must be collected from the studio from 4 weeks after your class. Due to storage limitations, we cannot store your items for longer than 3 months after the date of your class. Work that is not collected within this period will be donated.
